People tend to associate Wales more with rugby than cricket but don’t be fooled, there are some very passionate cricket clubs in those hills and the standard can be surprisingly high – Glamorgan is a First Class County after all and the Wales Minor Counties side has a very good track record too. We were well and truly trounced when we toured the Swansea area in the early Nineties, and we thought we had a strong side!
