Cricket Tour to Cyprus

Sink your toes into the warm sand, feel the sun on your back and look out over the azure waters of the eastern Mediterranean …… you’re in Cyprus, what’s more - you’re here to play some cricket!

Cyprus is a cricketer’s paradise and it’s both affordable and accessible – (only four and a half hours flying time from the UK). The cricket is surprisingly good too and it’s improving all the time - in 2003 a league was set up and youth cricket was started in schools, there’s even a national senior team now which competes in European competitions. Teams are not only made up of expats and Cypriots but include an interesting mix of players from all over the world. The main ground is aptly named Happy Valley situated at the sovereign base of Episkopi.

Our first choice hotel is right on the beach in Limassol and there are a wealth of other beaches to choose from. Limassol is the second largest city on the island and offers something for everybody at night with its rich variety of restaurants, taverns, cafes and discos.

There’s plenty to see and do on days off when you’ve done enough chilling out on the fabulous beaches. We recommend a trip around the Troodos mountain villages to take in the spectacular scenery and a holiday to Cyprus would never be complete with visiting some of the magical archeological and mythological sites – the guys might increase their chances of success with the ladies by visiting “Aphrodite’s Rock” the birthplace of the Goddess of Love and Beauty!

Cyprus is a fabulous tour - it’s hot with good cricket and great nightlife, who could ask for more? Plan to go for 4 to 7 nights and expect your stay to incorporate a weekend when most cricket is played.
