A guide for tour organisersWe want you to be the main man (or woman), golden boy (or girl), and the toast of the club for organising such a great tour - we're happy to do what we do best behind the scenes and take all the hassle away from you, the tour organiser.
Here’s a walk through guide to help you see that, with our help, organising a tour isn’t too scary:
What needs doing by you:
- Decide with your fellow tourists where you want to tour, when, for how long and when you’d like to play your matches. We’ll then make a provisional booking for you. If your tour involves flights or ferry crossing we’ll discuss your options with you.
- Collect deposits from everyone or ask the club to pay.
- When the time comes, pay your tour balance on time. We’ll also need everyone’s names and rooming arrangements.
Then you just need to go on tour and have a great time.
What we do for you in the meantime:
- Book rooms at our carefully selected hotels where touring teams are welcome.
- Organise all tour fixtures thoughtfully and confirm fixture arrangements meticulously.
- Research, suggest and book flights where required, based on best price and your most convenient departure airport, date and time.
- Arrange transport where required with reputable suppliers for airport transfers, coach travel, ferry crossings or self drive vehicle hire.
- Recommend and book additional activities and services and research and book for you pretty much anything else you’d like to include in your tour itinerary.
- Take payment from you over the phone by card (You can of course pay by cheque or bank transfer ifpreferred).
- Provide financial protection for tour packages and compliance with the package travel regulations.
- Send you a tour pack before you tour outlining all arrangements and listing contact numbers so you can personally introduce yourself and your club to your host clubs and discuss arrangements.
You can if you like appoint a tour committee and if you need our advice with fundraising and other ideas, especially if you’re thinking of a long haul tour, then please do let us know – we’ll come and buy you lunch if you like so we can talk through things in person or we can do a tour presentation to interested club members.
